Miyazaki Honey Kumquat (宮崎金柑)

This simple to prepare recipe uses Kumquat from Miyazaki prefecture. You can enjoy it hot on a cold day or as a refreshing sparkling drink, on a hot summer day!

 

Ingredients

-Miyazaki Kinkan 10 pieces

-Honey 100g

– A teaspoon of salt

 

Steps:

  1. Wash kumquat with salt and water.
  2. Slice the kumquat.
  3. Add honey and store the kumquat overnight in the fridge.
  4. You can enjoy the kumquat the way it is but mixing it with hot water or sparkling water is also good!

 

Arrangement

Hot honey kumquat: Mix with hot water (80ml) and honey kumquat (1/2 table spoon) & 1 table spoon of its liquid.

Sparkling kumquat: Mix with sparkling water (80ml) and honey kumquat (1/2 table spoon) & 1 table spoon of its liquid.
